When should I take CBD?
So you’ve got your new CBD product and your first questions is ‘when is the best time for me to take CBD?’ Well this question relates to oils, tinctures, tablets and e-liquids and unfortunately there is no simple answer. Quite simply there isn’t a single optimal time that works for everyone.
As with all supplements different people find that it suits them best to take CBD first thing in the morning, others take several doses spread evenly throughout the day, some take it just before bed and many use it ‘as required’. It all depends on you and what it is you are trying to achieve.
Here at Completely Naturoil we recommend experimentation because everyone’s endocannabinoid system is unique and the effect of CBD can be drastically different from one person to the next.
So where to start and how to find YOUR perfect CBD schedule? We think your first question should be – how will CBD affect me? Depending on the product how quickly will you feel the effects? Are you relaxed, energized or focused? Capsules can take up to an hour to be absorbed into the blood stream whereas e-liquids can take 20-30 seconds. The full effects of CBD remain for approximately 4-12 hours. How long a dose affects you depends on several variables, including on the mg of CBD you ingested, your method of consumption, as well as your body fat percentage and total body size. With this in mind, some users prefer to take a serving of CBD 2-3 times throughout the day so that they’re able to obtain sustained CBD level in their systems.
We would suggest that you try in the morning and then generally speaking, if CBD makes you feel relaxed you should lean towards taking it later in the evening. However, if it makes you feel uplifted then you should try incorporating it into your morning routine.
The level of the dosage will almost certainly affect how you feel. Experiment with taking your daily dosage all at once, versus spreading it out throughout the day – especially if you’re taking a high dose. Try increasing the dosage slowly over a couple of weeks until you feel a benefit. If you feel a benefit immediately then reduce the amount you are taking and find your ideal level. Some people use CBD on demand and that works for them – we suggest that a little research will guide you on to the right path.
The only honest answer to the question of when to take it is that it all depends on what works best for you. Once you find the right routine it is important to be consistent when taking your CBD and to be observant as to how it affects you. Keeping a note on the calendar or even in a CBD journal will help you find the right product to use, the best time to take it and your optimum dosage.
